DoorDash Merchants using point-of-sale (POS) systems can take advantage of our POS Order Manager, simplifying management of DoorDash orders. Available exclusively to DoorDash Merchants using POS systems, this feature is the culmination of our partnership with Crisp, Checkmate, Flybuy, and Otter. The POS Order Manager is also available to Merchants using DoorDash SmartScales.
Inspired by your feedback, the POS Order Manager enables merchants to manage orders directly from their Crisp POS system, Checkmate Portal, Flybuy POS system, Otter tablet, or DoorDash SmartScales. This streamlined experience not only reduces your reliance on DoorDash Support but also enables you to manage orders from a single screen, eliminating the need for companion tablets.
Merchants using the POS Order Manager have seen both a statistically significant reduction* in order cancellations and missing and incorrect items. They've also seen an approximately 4.25% reduction in error charges, customer refunds deducted from a Merchant's payout when the Merchant is at fault, resulting from order cancellations and missing and incorrect items.
How does DoorDash’s POS Order Manager work?
How you access the POS Order Manager depends on which provider you’re integrated with.
Crisp
Find a DoorDash order on your Crisp POS
Tap on the "DoorDash Order Help" button
Checkmate
Tap on any DoorDash order on your Checkmate Portal’s order page
Select “Manage”
Flybuy
Double-tap on any order to open the order detail page
Tap on the "Delivery Info" tab to open the POS Order Manager
Otter
Open the order detail page and tap on the three dots next to the printer button
Tap on "Manage via DoorDash" to open the POS Order Manager
DoorDash SmartScales
Tap on any order under the "Orders to be Weighed" section of the device to open the order detail page
Tap on "Order Actions" to open the POS Order Manager
From there you will have the ability to access the following features:
Call customers and Dashers: Our most requested update, you can call customers and Dashers directly through your POS Order Manager.
Rate and block Dashers: Your feedback matters to us which is why you can rate and block Dashers through the POS Order Manager.
Track Dashers via a live map and view Dasher status: Get insight into how close Dashers are—without needing a companion tablet—for a more seamless hand-off experience.
Refund and replace items: Refund or replace entire items or sub-quantities directly through the POS Order Manager. Modifications are reported back to the POS system to reduce future reconciliation issues.
Adjust prep time and mark orders as ready for pickup: Let Dashers know when you need more time to prepare an order or if an order is ready ahead of schedule.
Who is DoorDash’s POS Manager available to?
Right now, the POS Order Manager is only available to DoorDash Merchants integrated with Crisp, Checkmate, Flybuy, or Otter and Merchants using DoorDash SmartScales but we plan to bring this update to a broader set of POS and Middleware providers (MWP) in the future.
